Statewide Executive Board
The Executive Board plans and oversees all RPEA activities. An annual multi-day planning session incorporating board members statewide is used to discuss issues, set priorities, and plan for action through the next year. Member suggestions for setting priorities is welcome at any time.
Monthly Board Meetings
Monthly board meetings are generally held via telephone conference call on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interested members are always invited to attend. Usually meetings are held at the local RPEA/APEA offices in Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks. Members living in Anchorage may call into the meeting by dialing 274-1720. Members living elsewhere, including Outside, may call in by dialing 1-888-745-1720. There is a guest comment period early in each meeting for gathering input.
Under the Executive Board are three regional chapters which provide information and support to members at the regional level. The three population areas represented are Southcentral (including Anchorage, Matanuska Valley, and Kenai Peninsula), Southeast (including Juneau and all southern panhandle communities) and Northern (including Fairbanks and all communities in northern and western Alaska.)
